Christian Mühlherr, a process engineer, first came to Buhler as a college student. He already has patents pending for drying process enhancements that he developed during his studies at Buhler. Christian Mühlherr studied process- and environmental engineering at the HTWC Constance University of Applied Sciences. He had already previously worked at Buhler as an intern. The company had been recommended to him by fellow students. He completed his second internship in the Grain Processing Division and also wrote his final thesis at Buhler. In the central R&D division for Corporate Technology, he investigated solutions for the optimization of the drying process for pasta products. For this final thesis and for his other academic achievements, he was awarded the Constance HTWG Alumni Prize for his disciplinary field.

Following his studies and a sojourn abroad, Christian Mühlherr returned to Buhler as a process engineer and continued to develop further optimizations for the pasta drying process. Patents are already pending for his advances in pasta drying technology. In addition to the company’s internal continuing development opportunities for its employees, Christian Mühlherr also values the working environment at Buhler: “You can really tell that this is an innovative, performance-driven and sustainable family enterprise”, says the 28 year-old.
