The best of a cocoa bean is hidden in its kernel: In the Buhler Barth nibs roasting process, the flavor of the cocoa is optimally developed. The cocoa nibs are gently processed into high-grade cocoa liquor. The perfect Buhler Barth roasting process is preceded by a careful treatment of the raw beans: Exposure of the cleaned beans to infrared radiation enables optimal shell detachment – even when hard-to-shell cocoa varieties are involved. The top priority in all process stages is given to the principle of a high yield of pure product, and thus also in winnowing.

Because our different customers have different tastes and needs, the Buhler Barth cocoa nibs roaster TORNADO offers maximum machine flexibility: Individual settings can be selected for the roasting time, roasting temperature, and other parameters. This allows cocoa liquors to be produced which are distinguished by their wide diversity of tastes and flavors.
