Roller Floor Control System Cockpit MELR.

Buhler's new roller floor control system Cockpit MELR combines process technology and the control system into one carefully matched unit. Depending on individual needs, its modular design enables step-by-step implementation and expansion of the roller floor control system.
The Cockpit MELR basic system introduces the user to the new technology of Buhler's roller floor control system. It functions either as a stand-alone unit or integrated into WinCoS.r2 and can be enhanced at any time with the following additional functions: grinding gap management and maintenance management.
Cockpit MELR – comprehensive control of roller mills.
  • Centralized monitoring of all roller floors via PC enables quick and easy access to the roller mills directly from the control room.
  • Permanent monitoring, centralized management and the possibility of modifying the process parameters of all roller mills ensure lasting and reproducible product quality.
  • All important data is visible at a single glance, thus providing for effective control of the optimal capacity utilization – plant efficiency increases lastingly.
  • The roller floor control system is characterized by its simple and easy-to-comprehend operation.

Grinding Gap Management – fully automatic recipe changes.

  • Automatic setting and management of the grinding gap based on product recipes eliminates the possibility of operator errors and guarantees reproducible product quality.
  • During recipe changes, the roller mill automatically switches to the allocated grinding gap – changeover times are thus reduced to a minimum.

Maintenance Management – reduces costs, increases dependability.

  • This easy-to-use software relieves personnel of routine planning and maintenance tasks.
  • Proactive maintenance management with planning support reduces maintenance costs and saves on training maintenance personnel.
  • The integrated inventory management system for wear, spare and service parts lowers storage costs and optimizes the availability of spare parts.
