Malt Grist Mill Maltomat™ DBZC.

Buhler offers a high-performance malt grist mill for the grinding of dry and conditioned malt: The Maltomat™ DBZC is founded on an effective six-roller mill concept. According to the "grinding-grinding-sifting-grinding" principle, husks and endosperm are carefully separated from one another. The machine not only delivers top results with all varieties of malt; it also smoothly processes unmalted grain. Thus, this modern grist mill is especially well-suited for use in breweries. Maximum yield thanks to process optimization.
  • Its wide spectrum of applications makes the malt grist mill a versatile module within the brewing process. 
  • Employing the "grinding-grinding-sifting-grinding" processing principle, the mill achieves high husk volumes. This allows for faster lautering. 
  • A separate feed roll drive and a precisely adjustable feed gate ensure optimum material feed.

Low maintenance requirements through automatic cleaning system.

  • The malt grist mill's drive is characterized by robustness, resulting in lower maintenance requirements. 
  • Sieve screens made of stainless steel are resistant to corrosion and wear. 
  • In designing the Maltomat™ DBZC, special attention was paid to optimizing the interior to completely eliminate material deposits. 
  • An important functional element of the sieves is the integration of rubber balls designed to automatically clean the sieves.

Quick product changeover with maximum operating reliability.

  • The two-gap system enables two defined grinding gaps to be pre-programmed, thus making product changes more dynamic. 
  • For rapid and reliable quality checking, the malt grist mill features an integrated sampler. 
  • The pressure shock-resistant housing and explosion vent provide effective protection against explosion. 
  • The machine's profile is rounded out by a speed monitor and a roll disengagement detector – offering the greatest possible operating reliability.

Additional options provide more operating convenience.

  • A complete control cabinet for convenient control and monitoring of the Maltomat™ DBZC is available upon request. 
  • The rolls can also be engaged and disengaged remotely via an electro-pneumatic system – making operation even more comfortable.
