Ship loaders Portaload RSLA and Portacombi.

Buhler offers equipment with particularly high throughput capacities for port, bulk storage, and processing installations where large volumes of bulk materials such as grain, oilseeds, derivatives, animal feeds, and flours & meals are handled. The mechanical ship loader Portaload and the combined ship loader and ship unloader Portacombi handle throughput rates as high as 2000 metric tons per hour. They are thus ideally suited to loading or unloading vessels up to 120,000 DWT. For both modules, stationary as well as mobile versions are available. Proven technology for reliable and dust-free loading.
  • Hydraulic drives ensure gentle motion sequences. Proven technology and machine elements result in stable operation of the Portaload and Portacombi – in any climate. 
  • The loading boom is equipped with a loading head dust suppressor which maintains a low flow rate of the material as it enters the ship’s hold. This reduces dust generation and ensures gentle product handling.

Efficient and economical thanks to simultaneous loading and mechanical conveying.

  • The loading towers can be equipped with several booms. This allows simultaneous loading of several ship holds and thus increases the economy of the loading process. 
  • Mechanical handling by belt conveyor reduces energy consumption – and thus also cuts costs.

Low maintenance and high reliability thanks to rugged design.

  • The machine incorporates only a small number of wear parts. This reduces the maintenance requirement. 
  • Mechanical handling at low conveying velocities minimizes wear of the ship loader – an ideal condition for achieving a long service life.

About Bühler Schmidt-Seeger

Since September 2010 the company Schmidt-Seeger belongs to the Bühler Group. Now that the integration has been completed, the company appears since January 2012 solely under the name Bühler GmbH. Bühler GmbH has its headquarter still in Beilngries north of Munich. A further manufacturing plant is located in Döbeln near Dresden.
