Buhler was the only company that offered me a retention contract upon the completion of my apprenticeship.

After graduating from high school, Romy-Monira Scholz decided to pursue an apprenticeship in office administration at Buhler. She isn’t just good with numbers: she also has a strong interest in technology. As early as her second year of training, she was contacted by a divisional manager who indicated an interest in hiring her upon completion of her apprenticeship.

“It’s a great feeling to know that there is a team in this company that would like to work with me in the future”, says the 21 year-old about their interest. The promise of a retention contract, she says, was “an extremely positive influence” on her decision as well.

Romy-Monira Scholz has no regrets about her decision. “During the time of my apprenticeship, the human resource planning for administrative trainees has improved considerably”. In Braunschweig, the apprentices gain insights into various departments, for example Purchasing, Human Resources and Receivables. “Buhler gives us additional support by offering us weekly 1.5 hour-long classes in both English and office administration, in addition to our vocational training. This prepares us optimally for our exams”. The result speaks for itself: the snowboard enthusiast received an “A” on her intermediate exam.
