For some time now, Buhler has not been an unknown name in China. Buhler Wuxi is currently the second largest Buhler production facility in the world. Li Zefeng, a Lean Production Coordinator, is one of the many people who work there.

“The employees are the company’s guarantee of success”. This company motto is what first attracted Li Zefeng to Buhler. “Buhler respects the value of its employees and also offers interesting opportunities for personal development”, he says. The company had been known to him for some time. After all, this industry leader has a long history. “More than 60 percent of Chinese wheat is processed in Buhler millworks”, says Li Zefeng. Buhler Wuxi, the joint venture that Zefeng works for, was only founded in 1994, the Lean Production Coordinator says with emphasis. “Now it’s the second largest Buhler production facility in the world”.

“The global strategy and the competition give us tremendous opportunities at the site while also presenting enormous challenges”, says Li Zefeng. “Thanks to the fact that all employees can present their recommendations for improvements directly to management and HR, the initiative and enthusiasm of the employees are fully engaged”.
