Polyoxymethylene (POM) solutions.

Polyoxymethylene (POM) combines excellent resistance to wear, impact and creep, long fatigue life, and superior resistance to moisture, solvents and strong caustic solutions.

Thanks to their diverse nature, POM products are used for numerous applications: gear wheels, springs, clips and gaskets for power system components, but also for toys, washing machines, electric toothbrushes, razors, faucets and locks for safety belts. In the medical field, polyoxymethylene is used for inhalers, insulin pens and other applications. POM products are also used for tracks, beams and plates for mechanically produced parts with extremely narrow tolerances.

In 2004, Buhler delivered the first system for deodorizing POM granules to a German customer.
