The main applications of high-viscosity PET are food-grade packaging and technical yarns. Applications include containers for various beverages, tire cords, conveyor and safety belts, air bags, etc.Pellets of finished PET material are introduced directly into preform or spinning machines. The uniqueness of Buhler’s SSP technology enables the same production plant to be used for PET for different applications regardless of the feed material formulation (co-polymers or homo-polymers).
