Training and Courses.

Customers can take advantage of the full potential of their plant by having the operators and maintenance crews trained. Buhler offers an extensive range of training and continuing education opportunities, either locally at the customer site or at the Buhler pilot plant in Uzwil, Switzerland.

On-site training: Specialized instructors train personnel in their own plant on their own equipment. Operators learn how to get the most out of production systems through optimized operation.

Training in the pilot plant in Uzwil: At the Training Center in Uzwil, experienced instructors (engineers and chemists) offer training in the special-purpose pilot plant and laboratories. This unique pilot plant allows trials for different polymers and can be used either for single processing steps (such as heating, drying, conditioning, crystallization, decontamination, deodorization, polycondensation in the melt phase, pelletizing, polycondensation in the solid phase, extrusion, conveying, cooling) or for continuous processing in multiple steps similar with the customer-specific industrial process. The training in Uzwil gives the customer group the optimal opportunity to learn how to run the plant under extreme conditions that cannot be tested in a production plant.

Buhler offers general as well as special-purpose courses tailored to customer specific needs. The training programs cover either individual machines or entire production systems and process technologies.
