Nut roaster NR – for top product quality and a long shelf life.

- High flexibility
- Optimal flavor development
- Extended shelf life
- High energy efficiency

Nut roaster NR.

The nut roaster NR is a true multi-talent: Batch operation makes for maximum flexibility in roasting nuts and oilseeds of all varieties. Hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts as well as macadamia, pecan, or cashew nuts can be processed as easily as, say, pumpkin, sesame or sunflower seeds. Moreover, the roasting process specially developed by Buhler Barth ensures an enormously long shelf life of the different products. Enormous flexibility thanks to batch roasting system.
  • Batch operation allows an enormously wide variety of different processes, since every required combination of roasting time and temperature can be selected.
  • The roasting process can be individually adjusted to suit nuts and oilseeds of all varieties and origins – for achieving an optimal flavor development and intensity of taste.

Partially fluidized roasting process for ideal flavor development.

  • The partially fluidized roasting process ensures absolutely uniform energy distribution among the individual nuts. This produces a homogeneous and optimal flavor and taste development of the entire batch.
  • Full process control of the air volume, air temperature, and roasting time allows precise control of the roasting process – for a rich roasting flavor and a crispy texture of the nuts.

Long shelf life thanks to two-stage roasting process.
The patented two-stage roasting process developed by Buhler Barth all but completely maintains the micro-texture of the nuts during the roasting process and thus ensures an unsurpassed shelf life: In comparison to conventional roasting processes, this ensures unprecedented storage stability of the products.

High profitability through efficient energy transfer.
The optimal energy distribution achieved through the partially fluidized hot air system allows operation with maximum efficiency. The gentle intermixing of the batch during the roasting process leads to a gentle treatment and a balanced energy distribution among all the nuts. This maintains energy consumption at a very low level.
