PRIOtwin™.

With its new PRIOtwin™ extruder Buhler offers a solution tailored to the production of breakfast cereals, food ingredients and petfood. Working with process pressures up to 150 bar, a maximum specific torque of 11.5 Nm/cm3 and top temperatures of 200°C the extruder is suitable for a wide range of requirements.

The lean design of the system is particularly suited to processes involving large batches and a given product formula. Thanks to the new transition design, the product can be transferred without a infeed screw to the extruder. The functionality of the system allows highest standards of hygienically safe production processes and superior cost efficiency of production.

 Separate preconditioner can be rolled away for cleaning
The single-stage preconditioner is easily disconnected and separated from the extruder. The whole unit can easily be rolled away for simplified cleaning.

Perfect product quality and shape thanks to a laterally movable cutter
The cutter knives are adjustable even during ongoing production. This prevents undesirable deformations of the extruded products as a result of inaccurately regulated knives. To reduce downtimes, the entire knife head can be exchanged during production.

Modular design for variable use and upgrade possibilities
It is possible to combine the modules of the PRIOtwin™ extruder with the modules of the POLYtwin™ extruder. Users have the opportunity to expand a PRIOtwin™ extruder whenever required so as to make additional products which are not possible with the existing setup.
