Portalino RSO / Portalink RSH.

With its mechanical ship unloaders Portalino and Portalink, Buhler offers two high-grade modules for materials handling in bulk storage facilities (elevators, silos) and processing plants. With their throughput capacities of up to 1400 metric tons per hour, they are ideally suited to unloading ships up to 120,000 DWT. Mealy & floury as well as fine- and coarse-grained bulk materials such as grain, oilseeds, derivatives, animal feeds, and flours can be quickly and efficiently unloaded. These state-of-the-art ship unloaders are available as mobile or stationary versions. Proven technology for high operating reliability.
  • Thanks to their proven technology and sturdy machine elements, the ship unloaders Portalino and Portalink will operate with absolute reliability even under adverse climate conditions. What is more, their hydraulic drives ensure gentle starting of all motions – thus ensuring trouble-free operation.
  • Overload valves protect the motion sequences and thus guarantee a high level of process stability.

High capacity, lower costs.

  • Thanks to the automatic sink-in system of the marine leg (vertical chain conveyor) in the ship’s hold, the elevator boot can find its optimal position in the bulk material. This allows a constant unloading rate at maximum throughput.
  • Mechanical materials handling by chain conveyors results in low energy consumption – and thus offers a substantial cost advantage.

Low maintenance thanks to rugged design.

  • A rugged design and wear-resistant components characterize the ship unloaders Portalino and Portalink. The maintenance requirement is low.
  • Mechanical materials handling at low conveying velocities minimize wear. Moreover, this ensures gentle conveying of the product.
  • The equipment of the chain conveyors includes drop-forged and hardened chain links – resulting in a high tensile strength and wear resistance of the chains.
