Bühler Sells Nano-additive Oxylink™

Uzwil, September 16, 2015 – Bühler has transferred all of its production capacities for making the nano-additive Oxylink™ to its strategic partner Micronisers Australasia, Australia, thus ensuring the successful continuation of the business.

Oxylink™ is an additive for water-based resin systems such as coatings, paints, printing inks, adhesives, and sealants. Among other things, it contains nanoparticles that are manufactured by Micronisers Australasia.

Developed by Bühler in 2009, the additive business with products such as Oxylink™ has ceased to be of strategic significance to the Group. Effective October 1, 2015, Bühler is therefore transferring all business activities assocaited with Oxylink™ to its longtime partner and raw materials supplier Micronisers Australasia – in particular production, sales and marketing, brand, and know-how.

The concentration of raw materials and dispersion production at a single site enhances production efficiency and will ensure the successful continuation of the Oxylink™ business. For information on prices and shipping, orders, and all other inquiries, customers may contact Micronisers Australasia starting in October under the following address:
