Let’s take a walk down memory lane

Since 1860, our company has been living up to its motto of “innovations for a better world” by focusing on driving innovation, fostering our people to develop their full potential, and creating technologies that touch the lives of billions of people every day. We invite you to relive some of the key events in Bühler’s rich 165-year history – from the first four-roller mill to key acquisitions of market leading companies to establishing training and research facilities for employees and customers.

Did you know that our first apprentice was 16-year-old Albert Bürkler, who joined Bühler in 1915? Or that our current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Calvin Grieder, was the first external CEO when he took over the leading role in 2001? Discover more milestones, fun facts, and interesting images from the past in the presentation below. But wait – there’s more. Further down, we’ve selected some pictures that will take you back to a time when things were done a little differently. Enjoy!
