Tanveer Food is a division of the Meghna Group of Industries, one of Bangladesh's leading business conglomerates, boasting 54 industries and an annual turnover of USD 3.5 billion. Meghna Group dominates sectors such as food, chemicals, and logistics. As part of their expansion into the food industry, they have entered the rice business, which is the primary staple for Bangladesh.
Situated in Bogura, Northern Bangladesh, Tanveer Food benefits from being in a region famous for its high-quality paddy. Their mission is to establish the most modern and sustainable rice mill in Bangladesh, supporting the economy and ensuring food security for its community.
To achieve this vision, Tanveer Food has partnered with Bühler, a company well-known for its innovation and energy-efficient solutions, to design a cutting-edge, sustainable, and circular rice mill.
Bangladesh's population consumes around 35 million tonnes of rice annually. To meet this demand, Tanveer Food set up a cutting-edge rice mill in 2024. Equipped with comprehensive Bühler rice processing solutions, including 2 parboiling lines (16tph), 1 aromatic line (8tph), a parboil and harvest dryer, packaging machine, filters, dedusting system, SORTEX crystal vision, and a Mercury automation system, Tanveer Food produces 800 tonnes of rice daily.
Tanveer Food's rice mill features the advanced LEEA drying system that performs effectively even in adverse climates. This system allows for the collection, processing, and extended storage of wet paddy, preventing losses and maintaining produce quality—a capability that is not widely available in Bangladesh.
From the initial plant design stages to outfitting the facility with essential technologies, Bühler's local team has provided continuous guidance, expert advice, and timely support throughout the process.
