After his apprenticeship as an electrician, Paolo Columpsi soon switched to planning, where he spent 7 years planning large industrial and office buildings for the Swiss market. Among his clients were the University of St. Gallen and Swiss Re. During this time, Paolo completed further studies to become a federal diploma electrical project manager and then a federal diploma electrical installer.

After that he changed to the company Huber+Suhner AG in Herisau, where projects on the international market were realized. Paolo was responsible for the expansion of new FTTx (Fiber-to-the-x) projects, as well as data centers in various regions such as the USA, Mexico, and Europe. Among the well-known customers were e.g., Swisscom, ESPN, CNN and Orange. In 2014 came the move to Zülligsystems by Hach, part of Danaher Corporation. Paolo was responsible for the sales of process control systems and measurement technology for drinking and waste water. Since September 2021, Paolo has been part of Bühler+Scherler AG in St.Gallen, where he took over the division for Head of Sales in IP-S (Industry/Process) in January 2022.
