Sunny is a thought leader in sustainability, particularly in the food and agriculture sector. Edward S. Steinfeld is Professor of Political Science, the Dean’s Chair in China Studies, and the Director of the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University in the United States. Steinfeld's expertise focuses on contemporary China's political, economic, and commercial rise. He received his PhD, MA, and BA in Political Science from Harvard University. Steinfeld previously served as a faculty member in MIT's Sloan School of Management and Department of Political Science.

Joël Mesot has been President of ETH Zurich since 2019. Prior to his appointment, he was Director of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) for 10 years. He is a full professor of physics at ETH Zurich and part of several national and international advisory boards. Joël Mesot obtained his doctorate at ETH and the Institut Laue-Langevin (France) in the field of solid-state physics.
Researcher, teacher and expert of the Swiss education and research landscape, Martin Vetterli was appointed president of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2017. He was formerly the president of the National Research Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation. Martin Vetterli has made numerous research contributions in the digital signal processing and is best known for his work on wavelets. His research has earned him numerous national and international awards, including the National Latsis Prize in 1996.
Suzi LeVine is the former US Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein and a senior executive with over 25 years of experience leading global organizations across government, corporate and non-profit sectors. Most recently, she was the Acting Assistant Secretary for the US Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration and is currently a board director for Publicis Groupe, an advisory board member for OpenClassrooms, and serves on several non-profit boards focusing on apprenticeship, workforce, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Christoph Gebald is the co-CEO of Climeworks. He is a mechanical engineer by training, holding a master’s degree with distinction and a PhD from ETH Zurich. During his PhD, Christoph researched direct air capture technologies and founded Climeworks on this basis together with Jan Wurzbacher in 2009. With more than 15 years of experience in CO2 capture from the air he is considered by his peers as an expert in this growing and important industry.
Clara is the CEO of Restor. Previously, she has worked in supply chain sustainability in Latin America, engaging with large consumer goods companies, plantation owners, and smallholder farmers to design and implement solutions to protect forests and respect human rights. Clara has also worked in fishery management, youth development, and environmental education and holds a master’s of environmental management from the Yale School of the Environment. In 2022, Clara was named a 2022 Google.org Leader to Watch.

Stephanie is born in Denmark, grew up in Sweden and moved to the Bay Area, CA in 2011. She has since spent time in between Denmark and the US while completing her studies. She holds a BSc. Biotechnology (The University of Copenhagen, Denmark) & a MSc. Engineering in Biotechnology (The Technical University of Denmark). During her undergraduate degree she spent a semester abroad on exchange at The University of British Columbia, Canada.
After various positions outside Bühler+Scherler in the fiber optic and drinking water markets as Project Engineer, Project Manager and Sales Manager, Paolo Columpsi joined Bühler+Scherler as Head of Sales Industry and Process on January 1, 2022. Paolo is Italian citizen, married and is father of 2 children.
Peter ( 51 ) and his brother Dieter ( 43 ) VYNCKE are the 4th generation leading the family business VYNCKE. Peter was discharged from the KU Leuven University in 1994 ( TEW ) and was president of EKONOMIKA in 1993 – 1994. Between 1996 and 2000 Peter led the Asian settlement of the family business. During his time in Asia he was based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2002 the Bros took over the family business from their parents and sisters. In 2007 Peter was elected JCI’s YOUNG FLEMISH ENTREPRENEUR. Peter is South-West Flemish, loves to travel and considers the world as his village. Peter is married to Fran LAVIGNE and has 6 children.
Fabio Campanile, Global Heads of Science & Technology in the Taste & Wellbeing division at Givaudan International, PhD Chemical Engineering and MBA. Fabio joined Quest International in the Netherlands as R&D manager in 2000, later acquired by Givaudan in 2007. At Givaudan he has had several roles in R&D, Product Management and Flavour Creation & Application based in Switzerland. He has been in his current role since 2016.

Georg Stamatelopoulos was appointed to the EnBW Board of Directors effective June 1, 2021. Georg Stamatelopoulos assumes responsibility for the “Sustainable Generation Infrastructure” division, which covers all market issues relating to generation, as well as growth areas specifically in the field of renewable energies. This includes Renewable and Conventional Generation, Nuclear Generation, Trading, Technology, Waste Management/Environmental Services, Occupational Safety, Environmental Protection and Crisis Management. Vito Martielli is working as Senior Grains and Oilseeds analyst for Rabobank at Rabo Research Food & Agribusiness department in the Netherlands, since 2005. Michael Gelchie is Chief Executive Officer at Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) and has over 30 years of experience in the agri-commodities industry, most of these within LDC, where he has served in various management roles in the company’s Sugar, Rice, Cocoa and Coffee businesses, and later as Chief Operating Officer, before his appointment as Group CEO in 2020.
Nicole Atchison is responsible for leading innovation and business development across PURIS’ portfolio of companies including ingredient technologies, processing technologies, seed genetic strategies, product development and go-to-market strategies, insights, and support for plant-based brands. Erika is Head of Bioprocessing for the Bühler Group. Erika has a PhD in Food Process Engineering from the Leibniz Universität Hannover in Germany and has been with Bühler since 2015. In her current role, Erika is responsible for Bühler’s Future of Food program and oversees the group activities in the bioprocessing space. With her team, she leads a range of activities, covering strategy as well as new technology developments with Bühler’s business teams and external partners.

His ambition and determination enabled the company to expand into different areas, becoming the Group that it is today, with more than 5000 employees. Nelson is the currently CEO of Grupo Carrinho, a position that he has held since 2004.”
Izzy Obeng is an entrepreneur and business coach. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Foundervine and sits as a Non-Executive Director for Traverse (Office for Public Management) and as a Non-Executive Director for Capital Enterprise. At Foundervine, Izzy leads a consultancy for creating systemic change in entrepreneurship. Foundervine has launched accelerators in the UK that support early-stage companies, providing entrepreneurs from under-represented communities with mentorship, training, and access to capital.
Colin Averill is a Senior Scientist at ETH Zürich’s Crowther Lab, where he and his team study the forest microbiome. In addition to his academic role, he is the Founder of Funga PBC, a new startup harnessing forest fungal networks to address the climate crisis. He is also co-founder of SPUN – the Society for the Protection of Underground Networks – a non-profit dedicated to documenting and protecting mycorrhizal fungal life across the planet.
Caitlin Reimers Brumme is the Chief Executive Officer of MassChallenge. Prior to MassChallenge, Caitlin led the Impact Collaboratory at the Harvard Business School, a multi-faceted effort to develop world class academic leadership on the topic of “Investing in the 21st Century” including sustainable, ESG and impact investing. Caitlin holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar, and a B.A. with honors from The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
