Thomas Beck studied Biotechnology at the University of Stuttgart and received his PhD from the Department of Biochemistry at the Biozentrum, University of Basel. He has been active in research and innovation in pharma, food, and nutrition since the mid 1990s.
Thomas Beck started his career in pharma at Ciba-Geigy, and consulting at McKinsey & Company. From 2003 he held various positions in R&D and Innovation Management at Nestlé and served as Director of the Nestlé Research Center from 2013-2016. In 2017, Thomas Beck joined the Executive Team of DSM Nutritional Products as Head of Innovation. He has been working as an independent consultant in the nutrition industry since 2022 and serves as an advisor for several start-ups.
Thomas Beck is a German citizen and was born in 1966.
